HOW DO I ORDER A BOOK?
When you find a book on the SAREC
Bookstore website, click on the title to follow a
link to amazon.com. Proceed to add your choice to the
Shopping Cart. If you are ordering more than one
book, hit the "BACK" button on your browser
twice before "Checking Out" and pick up the
next title from the SAREC Bookstore website. Do this
rather than choose another title directly from the
amazon.com catalogue (see Pricing Information). In other
words, do not click on "Continue Shopping"
unless you want to order books directly from
Amazon.com. You can cancel or modify your order at
any time prior to the finalization process. You can,
of course, purchase additional books in other subject
areas directly from Amazon.com during the same
on-line session.

When your Shopping
Cart contains all of the items you wish to order,
click on the Shopping Cart link found in our
navigation bar at the top and bottom of every page.
Then, press the button labeled "Proceed to
Checkout." This is the beginning of the order
finalization process.
Choosing a server
The first screen you will see offers you a choice
between our secure and our standard servers. Our
secure server technology comes from Netscape but it
works with most browsers, including Internet
Explorer. It encrypts information, keeping it private
and protected. This technology makes it safe to
transmit your credit card number over the Internet.
The standard server is
what you're using right now. If you choose the
standard server to place your order, you can enter
just the last five digits of your credit card number
on the order form in the space provided. Once you
finish and submit your order, you'll be instructed to
call or fax us with the complete credit card number.
We can then match your name and the credit card
number you give us with the order information that
you submitted using our Web site. Since we will
already have the last five digits of your card
number, you won't have to remember any order
numbers--just tell us your name and read us your
credit card number.
The online order
form
Once you have chosen a server, you can begin filling
out the online order form. When you have filled out
the entire form, you will see a summary of your
order. Please review this screen carefully and then
press the button labeled "Press this button to
submit your order." You must press this button
to complete your order. When you do, the next screen
will thank you for your order and provide a link to
return to the home page. At that moment, e-mail is
automatically sent to you, describing your order in
detail.
