Who sets the price?
Please note that prices are set and controlled by Amazon.com (see below). The price which you pay is the same when you purchase a book directly from Amazon.com or when you link to Amazon.com by clicking on a title appearing in the SAREC Bookstore website.

Does SAREC receive a commission?
We receive a commission on some of the books purchased through the SAREC Bookstore website as follows:

• 0% on "out of print" or "hard to find" books
• 5% on books selling at list price, on special order books and on in-print books for which you receive a discount of greater than 30% off the list price.
• 15% on books selling at 10-30% off the list price
• We do not "load" our listings to favour books for which we receive higher commissions.

Our prices

We offer you consistently low prices. You'll enjoy 20-40% discounts on more than 400,000 titles, including 40% on selected feature books, 30% on hardcovers, and 20% on paperbacks. (Discounts do not apply to most special order titles or any out of print titles.)

When we charge your card

We don't charge your credit card until we ship your order. If you've paid by check and we owe you a full or partial refund, we will send a refund check for the correct amount.

What we do about mispricings

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the more than 2.5 million items in our catalog are mispriced. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our shipping procedures.

• If a book's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the book.
• If a book's correct price is higher than our stated price, we contact you for instructions before shipping.

Confirming availability and price

Availability information for the titles in our catalog is listed on each item's detail page. Some titles are marked "Special Order." These items usually leave our warehouse about four to six weeks after you place your order. Titles that are listed as "Hard to Find" or "Out-of-Print" can take up to six months to obtain. Beyond what we say on the Web pages, we cannot be more specific about availability. As we process your order, we will inform you by e-mail if any items you order turn out to be unavailable.

We can't confirm the price until you order, but please note that we do NOT charge credit cards until the date we ship your order to you!
