BACKGROUND
SAREC™ is a fully Canadian organization located in Montreal, Quebec. The principal occupational health and safety consultant is CC Austin, PhD, CMC, CIH (Curriculum Vitae), whose research is funded by NSERC and the IRSST.
Dr. Austin is a professional chemist holding a PhD in Industrial Hygiene who has offered consulting services in occupational health since 1987. Specialization areas include canister air sampling, production of reliable compressed breathing air and fire chemistry/toxicology. Particular attention has been directed toward method development and quality control (QA/QC). Dr. Austin has also been especially involved in firefighter exposure assessments and in hazardous materials management.
